Ultherapy In Dallas, TX
You can control gravity with Ultherapy from EpiCentre Skin Care & Laser Center, a completely non-invasive way to get a firming facial lift. Ultherapy leverages your body’s own self-healing to stimulate collagen production—the proteins responsible for full, smooth skin.
What is Ultherapy?
The Ultherapy procedure counteracts the effects of time and gravity on your skin with a non-surgical facelift. Ultherapy is the only skin rejuvenation procedure that uses focused ultrasound pulses for skin sculpting, and is the only non-invasive procedure that is FDA-approved to lift skin on the neck, under the chin, on the eyebrows, and can diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the décolletage. Ultherapy can help you achieve a fresher, more youthful look, from your eyebrows to your chest, and anywhere with loose skin.
How Ultherapy works
As we age, our skin slowly loses the firming elasticity underneath the surface that keeps our face and chest wrinkle-free. The Ultherapy procedure uses the body’s own regenerative response to gradually restore elasticity to the skin and underlying tissue support. The skin’s response to ultrasound produces fresh, elastic collagen cells that tighten and lift skin on the face, neck, and chest. To be as effective as possible, Ultherapy stimulates collagen growth in the skin tissue at three different layers in a medical process known as neocollagenesis.
Unlike lasers, radio frequency, or surgery, Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin to deliver a precise amount of ultrasound energy at the targeted skin depth, and the appropriate temperature for each client. There are no toxins, no drugs, and no needles to fear. Pure energy pulses trigger a natural response under the skin, jumpstarting the regenerative process that produces fresh and natural skin elasticity. Some patients see an initial effect right after their treatment, but the full results appear slowly and naturally over several months, as new collagen works to lift and tighten skin across the body.
What to expect during treatment
Ultherapy uses energy to reach optimal temperatures for neocollagenesis, or collagen regeneration, and as the energy pulses, you may feel a warming sensation. If needed, your provider at EpiCentre Skin Care & Laser Center can administer a light, topical anesthesia to the skin before the treatment begins to minimize any possible heat or discomfort. A face or neck treatment takes 60 to 90 minutes, while a chest treatment requires an additional 30 minutes. After that, there’s no pain or aftercare to worry about. Some patients experience a slight swelling or flushed appearance, but these symptoms usually resolve in just a few hours. In fact, Ultherapy is so easy and so effective that 95% of patients are satisfied with their treatment, even after a full year. *
How long will Ultherapy results last?
Most of our medspa patients only need one 60 to 90 minute Ultherapy treatment in our clinic. After treatment, results begin to appear over two to three months, as your body self-repairs and tightens, smoothing areas around the face, neck, or chest. Collagen produced by the Ultherapy treatment doesn’t disappear, so the results will last until the aging process dictates further loosening. When results are no longer visible, you can call our office to schedule a maintenance treatment.
After your treatment, there is no downtime or complicated set of instructions to follow. You’ll be able to step right out the door and continue your life as usual.
Who can use Ultherapy?
While Ultherapy won’t duplicate the results of a full, surgical facelift, it’s a clinically proven non-invasive alternative for anyone who doesn’t feel ready for, or is interested in, surgery. Most patients seeking an Ultherapy treatment have a medical or personal reason to avoid a surgical procedure. Some patients are younger, and their skin is not in serious need of a full surgical facelift. In addition, some patients who have already had a cosmetic surgery may decide to use Ultherapy as a treatment option in order to extend the effects of the prior procedure.
Any adult with mild to moderate skin laxity (loss of natural firmness) may be a good candidate for Ultherapy. The most common target areas include drooping or hooded eyebrows, loose skin on the neck, sagging under the chin, and wrinkles on décolletage. If you’re interested in Ultherapy, please schedule a private consultation with our providers in the Dallas office, and we’ll ensure that your goals can be met through Ultherapy or one of the other types of advanced skin care treatments we offer in our medspa.
