Sciton Halo Laser Treatment
Try the Sciton Halo Laser for Rejuvenated Skin in Dallas, TX
Do you ever wonder how red carpet celebrities get that flawlessly smooth skin, even in an age of “no makeup” campaigns and social media selfies? Today, the most cutting-edge medical spas in Beverly Hills, and now Dallas, rely on the versatility of a fractional laser to address multiple skin issues all at once. Halo by Sciton is the first and only hybrid fractional laser in the world, and the team at EpiCentre Skin Care & Laser Center is proud to offer it as a part of our advanced, medical-grade aesthetic treatments from our licensed providers.
Ablative vs. non-ablative lasers
The Halo laser by Sciton is referred to as a hybrid because it combines both ablative and non-ablative capabilities in a single method to treat additional skin conditions in less time. To understand its effectiveness, though, it’s important to clarify the differences in these two laser technologies.
Ablative lasers are more invasive, but as a result, produce better clinical outcomes. Ablative lasers vaporize the outermost layers of the skin in order to simulate new skin cell production that heals and restructures the skin’s surface with increased collagen production. The results from this type of laser usually last from one to five years, and are often used to treat acne scars, hyperpigmentation of the skin, fine lines, wrinkles and visible lesions. Recovery can take one to two weeks because of the intensity of the treatment, while users usually experience redness and swelling during this time.
Non-ablative lasers heat up the targeted skin tissue on the surface of the skin, but unlike an ablative laser, it doesn’t destroy skin cells completely. The process stimulates your body’s natural collagen production to heal and fill in skin imperfections over time. This treatment is often used to address fine lines and wrinkles on the surface of the skin. Because the treatment is noninvasive, there is less downtime involved; but on the other hand, non-ablative lasers usually require multiple treatment sessions in order to achieve ideal results.
Radiant skin without the downtime
Over time, your skin can lose its youthful glow due to sun exposure and the body’s natural aging process. As a result, your skin develops sunspots, fine lines, and loses its natural, healthy appearance. Previous lasers couldn’t effectively remove this damage because the treatment was either too shallow (non-ablative) or too deep (ablative). Now, the Halo laser eliminates years of damage by precisely targeting the right skin depth with a hybrid of both types of primary skin lasers. The Halo laser uses Dynamic Thermal Optimization, or DTO, to constantly measure the patient’s skin temperature and adjusts the energy and pulse to maintain optimal intensity. It’s less uncomfortable than traditional fractional resurfacing, and the results appear much quicker—in just one to three treatments.
Halo by Sciton restores the luminous glow you had in your youth, all with little to no downtime, and without requiring multiple treatments to address wrinkles and pigmentation. Skin resurfacing is considered among doctors to be the most effective option in treating skin conditions and reversing signs of aging, because any treatment that stimulates the natural collagen production in the deep layers of the skin will help fill in wrinkles, reduce the size of visible skin pores, repair hyper-pigmentation from sun damage, even out skin tone, erase acne scars or sunspots, and smooth the appearance of freckles. Before the Halo laser from Sciton, patients needed multiple types of treatment, several sessions, and long periods of recovery
